The Thompson Center is pleased to announce the 2008 Autism Summer Institute. The institute will provide comprehensive core knowledge of autism spectrum disorders, including characteristics, critical evaluation of interventions, methods of instruction, developing IEPs, applied behavior analysis, positive behavior support, and designing, implementing, and monitoring student progress.

This institute serves as the first component of a 3-tier extensive training that will offer CEU’s and graduate course credits. This institute is a prerequisite to subsequent tiers that will be offered throughout the upcoming year.

The Autism Summer Institute is appropriate for practitioners who work with students with autism spectrum disorders, such as administrators, general educators, special educators, paraprofessionals, school psychologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech language therapists, personal assistants, case coordinators, and First Steps coordinators who address transition to school services.

Complete and return the registration form with your payment. Registration deadline is July 21, 2008. No onsite registration will be accepted.
