The Behavior Supports Clinic provides clinic-based behavioral and educational assessment and consultation services designed to identify and prioritize instructional and intervention goals
Individual Needs Typically Addressed
- Between the ages of 3 and 17
- Diagnosis of an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or other neurodevelopmental disorder
- Behavioral and/or communication needs that limit access to natural environments.
Typical services provided
- Environmental Support Services
Assess and identify educational goals, provide guidelines and individual environmental support needs across settings. - Targeted Skills Assessment Services
Evaluation and intervention guidelines which target behavioral, communicative and/or adaptive needs across environments. - Completion of adult service applications
Assistance with the completion of adult service applications while also providing insight to the necessary processes and required information. - Intensive Behavior Services
Assess and identify function of behavior, develop intervention plan and provide guidelines and training for continued behavior support.
Key Components of Behavior Support Clinic Services
- Comprehensive interview prior to visit
- Extensive initial evaluation and recommendations
- Meeting to review full clinic evaluation
- Approximately 10 hours of clinic-based follow-up sessions, including ongoing progress reports
- Additional follow-up sessions may be arranged
- Assessments may include and/or produce: functional analysis, structural analysis, current level educational and social-emotional abilities
