It was a night of caped crusaders… but not we’re not talking about the new Avengers movie! Dr. Stephen Kanne, executive director of the Thompson Center, received a Super award from the St. Louis Arc this spring. The Arc named him the 2019 Superhero for Kids Award!
“I have known Dr. Kanne for more than a decade and have greatly admired his passion and dedication to his work and the people he supports,” said Mark Keeley, the President and CEO of the St. Louis Arc. “I know he is and has been a beacon of hope for countless individuals and families who have faced the unique challenges of autism.
Dr. Kanne’s constant thirst for knowledge and unending efforts to push research, to create and implement innovative clinical services, to guide education and influence public policy absolutely makes him a superhero for kids autism and their families. I can think of no one more deserving of this award.”
We are so proud of Dr. Kanne and all that he does to help our patients, their families and families with autism across the Midwest and the nation! Congratulations, Dr. Kanne!
