ACE
Accessing Career Experiences (ACE) is a nine-month, post-secondary employment program that offers independence and employment skill development for individuals 18-30 years old with autism and an intellectual disability.
About ACE
ACE is a new program at the Thompson Center designed for young adults diagnosed with autism an and intellectual disability who want to increase their independence through improved employment skills.
Direct instruction paired with on the job experience will provide the necessary skills needed to find gainful employment.
Components of ACE
- Direct instruction led by a behavior analyst
- On the job coaching
- Resume and interview skill development
Eligibility
- Autism and an intellectual disability, or a diagnosis with similar symptoms
- Comprehensive IQ = 75+
- Motivated to work independently
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Has completed high school
- Available weekly for 5-10 hours
Program Cost
The ACE program cost per student is $500.
