Autism Conference

Each year the Thompson Center hosts an autism conference. We aim to educate and provide support for parents and professionals who work with individuals with autism spectrum disorders, including educators, psychologists, speech/language pathologists, medical professionals, applied behavior analysts, employment specialists, vocational rehabilitation counselors, service coordinators and advocates.

The conference aims to provide an atmosphere of hope and upholds a commitment to sharing comprehensive, up-to-date coverage of assessment and intervention strategies supported by research.

The 10th annual Autism Conference will be held Sept. 24-25 at the DoubleTree in Chesterfield, outside St. Louis.

Our keynote speaker this year will be Dr. David Skuse, professor of behavioral and brain sciences at University College London. Dr. Skuse’s research explores genetic, cognitive and physiological components of autism spectrum disorders and novel measures of social communication deficits.
