Each year the Thompson Center hosts an autism conference to educate and provide support for parents and professionals who work with individuals with autism spectrum disorders, including educators, psychologists, speech/language pathologists, medical professionals, applied behavior analysts, employment specialists, vocational rehabilitation counselors, service coordinators and advocates.
The conference aims to provide an atmosphere of hope and upholds a commitment to sharing comprehensive, up-to-date coverage of assessment and intervention strategies supported by research. Breakout sessions offered in three different strands: Current Topics in Autism Research, Applied Behavior Analysis in Practice and Autism in the Schools.
The 13th annual Autism Conference will be held Oct. 25-26, 2018, at the DoubleTree St. Louis Hotel in Chesterfield, Mo. This year, we are also adding several pre-conference events on Oct. 24, including a one-day Parent Conference for family members and caregivers.
