ADOS-2 Advanced/Research Training

This 2-day ADOS-2 Advanced/Research Training involves intensive instruction on the psychometrics of the instrument for individuals who have previously attended ADOS-2 Introductory Clinical Training.  ADOS-2 trainers provide guidance to participants, who will be working in small groups, administering and scoring ADOS-2 tasks.

Prior to attending training, you will need to have access to an ADOS-2 manual and kit. ADOS-2 kits, manuals and protocols are available through Western Psychological Services at 1-800-648-8857 or at www.wpspublish.com.

ADOS-2 Advanced/Research Training, and obtaining research reliability, is recommended for research purposes. The research reliability process and fees will be discussed at the training. The above fee includes one free ADOS-2 video submission toward research reliability.

Prerequisite: Attendees must have attended training on modules 1 – 4 of the ADOS-2

Learning Objectives:

  • Administer and code the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule 2 (ADOS-2) assessment tool, using standardized methods.
  • Define the challenges in assessing autism symptoms.
  • Define the development, purpose, and psychometrics of the ADOS-2.
  • Describe ways to incorporate use of the ADOS-2 in clinical practice.
  • Define the challenges in direct testing of individuals and interviewing parents/caregivers on autism symptoms.

  • APA or NASP continuing education credits included
