ADOS-2 Research Training

If you want to use the ADOS-2 for research purposes, you must establish reliability on the measure. The process involves first attending an ADOS-2 Training for Clinicians and then attending an ADOS-2 Research Training. This training is two and a half days and involves more intensive instruction on the psychometrics of the instrument, working in small groups on administering and scoring the ADOS-2, and discussion and question/answer about specific administration and coding issues.

Prior to attending training, you will need to have access to an ADOS-2 manual and kit. ADOS-2 kits, manuals and protocols are available through Western Psychological Services at 1-800-648-8857 or at www.wpspublish.com.

After the workshop, you will be provided with video administrations of the ADOS-2 and scored protocols to view and score for reliability. You will then send the Thompson Center for Autism & Neurodevelopmental Disorders two video submissions of yourself administering different ADOS-2 modules and scored protocols. The fee includes two video submissions toward post course reliability, if submitted within six months of research training date. The cost for videos submission after the allotted two is $250/each. Reliability process must be completed one year after your research training date. *Prerequisite: Attendees must have attended training on modules 1 – 4 of the ADOS-2
