Social Language Groups: Train the Trainers Series: Part 1

This FREE training for SLPs and learning specialists in Missouri consists of 3 sessions to assist professionals in the successful implementation of Social Language Groups (SLG) in the educational setting.

Trainings occur via Zoom on Mondays from 2:45 p.m.-4:00 p.m. CST

  • January 29: ASD and Diagnostic Differences
  • February 5: Evidence-Based Practices in SLG Intervention
  • February 12: Effective Lesson Design

After the training, participants will be able to:

  • Start a social language group in their educational setting using evidence-based teaching techniques
  • Include parents, caregivers, peers, and teachers in the intervention to improve generalization of social communication for their students
  • Design effective lessons to meet the unique social language needs of their students within a group setting

Participants can earn up to 0.35 ASHA CEUs (Intermediate Level, Professional Area). Partial credit will be given for attending at least 2 of 3 sessions. No ASHA CEUs will be awarded for attending only 1 session.
